Garden was welded onto the notification list in CenterWidgetGroup —
always on, unrelated, stealing space from notifications that said
"Nothing". Moved it into the BottomWidgetGroup drawer as a fifth tab
alongside Calendar, To Do, Pomodoro, and Stopwatch.
CenterWidgetGroup is now just the notification list. Lens events
(note_created, synced) emit through notify-send so they land in the
notification system properly.
Forked calendar, todo, pomodoro, notifications out of ii-base into
our tree — the right sidebar no longer borrows any widget files from
ii. Toggle dialogs (bluetooth, wifi, nightLight) still symlinked as
infrastructure.
Move agent and conversation authority into truthful footer controls, keep external sessions observed-only, and give recent server conversations an explicit picker.\n\nProject itinerary state into a persistent ribbon, invalidate it on every itinerary mutation, and keep failures in the transcript while successful route chatter yields to the ribbon. Long tool returns now scroll in place.\n\nThe SAF now owns the full Panel contract and parity boundary; the abandoned green observer card is removed.
deploy.sh: name the hazard the composer already implements — a new file
plus a manifest line is inert until the next deploy, while editing a file
already in the manifest is live in the running shell immediately.
Registration is the dangerous act, not creation.
patches/README: 0008 swaps the message delegate to one that does not carry
the vendor control row (regenerate, speak, re-synthesize, copy, edit, raw,
delete). Applying it would remove all seven.
TASK-72 step 2. AgentMessage consumes the typed segment list and dispatches
to owned primitives; ThinkingCard draws reasoning as a segment kind rather
than as <think> punctuation inside a flattened string, which removes the
think-fence collision class by construction.
MessageTextBlock and MessageCodeBlock are deliberately reused from the vendor
snapshot: they are markdown renderers, not agent vocabulary.
Composed by MANIFEST, imported by nothing. The activating edit is queued as
patch 0008. Qt6 qmllint: zero syntax findings; remaining warnings are the
widget-resolution class the vendor AiMessage also produces (38 vs 46).
Not verified: nothing has loaded this. No real tool round has rendered here.
First step of TASK-72's owned destination. modules/souveraine/agent/ is
original Souveraine code; no further agent-surface work lands in ii-base.
ToolVocabulary transcribes src/ui/chat/tool_renderers.rs — the same event
stream, solved once already for the TUI. All 19 registered tools have a kind,
an icon and a summary. The vendor card knew 8: bash read write edit grep glob
list_dir memory. The 11 it could not name are the interiority verbs.
ToolCard groups by what the act is rather than which subsystem serves it, so
acts on the machine and acts on herself read as different families. Status is
legible without opening the payload; collapsed by default except running or
failed.
Composed by the manifest, imported by nothing. Registration is a later step.
ii-base and ii-phone each carried a 357-line BarContent to express eight
differences, all of them either "is this widget shown" or "which slot is
it in". No behaviour differed. Every bar edit had to be made twice or
diverge silently against the pin.
Widgets are now declared once as Components in a registry; each slot is a
Repeater over a list of widget names, so placement and order are data.
Config names a slot or a device profile picks it. "auto" derives the
profile from the same cramped-ness test behind useShortenedForm, so the
phone keeps its arrangement with no config file. Loaders are active only
when placed, so an unplaced widget is never constructed.
The agent island becomes a placeable widget rather than a mount smuggled
into UtilButtons: it reaches every device bar from one declaration.
ClockWidget is unified for the same reason. Its phone fork existed solely
to add customFormat, which BarContent now sets on every device.
bar.agentSessions was landing under background.widgets, not bar, so
Config.options.bar.agentSessions was always undefined and only the ?? true
fallback made the island appear wired. Moved, and merged into the existing
bar.indicators rather than declaring a second one.
The vault card lives where notifications were — header with sync pill
(clean/ahead/behind/dirty), today's note entry, five freshest notes,
cold start and push rows — over the notification list. Lens.qml owns
souveraine-lens the way Face owns the rig: one socket, event lines up,
no vault access of its own. Kiyoshi's slash grammar and tool registry
are noted for the fuller app; the micro view only opens and plants.
78d6743 committed PowerMenu's half and never added the file, so the
singleton in qmldir resolved to nothing and the shell would not load on a
tree that had not been hand-linked.
HidController streams to usb-hid-inject and acknowledges every accepted
report, closes both endpoint fds on the busy edge before usb-signaller
tears the functions down, and refuses non-ASCII on the glass instead of
clearing a field whose first report was never written.
The face reports the agent and host results back to the page, and
deploy.sh stages the tracked face assets before the QML switch so a new
control cannot arrive without the page that implements it.
ZoneTransition owns the card rect, the four overview verbs, the end-target
table and the gesture clock. ZoneOverview and the rail read it; neither
derives a geometry.
Deletes poseActiveZone/clearPose/_posed, zoneCard.scale and
zonePullProgress. The card's ColumnLayout went too — its margin was a second
opinion about where a window sits in its zone; panes are the compositor's
tiling scaled.
The swipe felt wrong because the release committed where the thumb left it.
settleTo() travels to the destination first and commits on arrival, with
quickstep's numbers (350ms cap, min(1/0.7, 1/0.3)). Abandoned half-swipes
settle to last_zone instead of snapping. Dwell gate restored — quickstep
gates the same way and "ever paused" is a latch.
Card box is measured from the surface, not assumed from the screen: the
overview panel respects exclusive zones and its height moves.
Strand repro passes on hardware.
The rig never drew. live2d.js is not only the Cubism runtime — it carries the
reference's character layer, which reads #live_talk every update as its
motion-state slot. Our page omitted the element, so it threw on the first
frame after the model and all four textures had loaded: assets 200, WebGL
live, no error reaching Rust, blank canvas.
--app-id was a no-op. set_prgname ran after GTK had already created the
surface, so the compositor saw souveraine-web and window rules could only
match the title. It has to run before the event loop.
Press and hold her to speak: pw-record at 16k mono s16, release transcribes
through souveraine-stt --file and goes out over Souveraine.send, so the
sidebar logs it. Whisper wraps with newlines and the transcript arrives
through a SplitParser, so it is collapsed here or one utterance becomes four
turns. Double tap dismisses; the clock and quote fade out when she is up and
the clock stops being a target, because a double tap on an invisible object
is not a way back.
The page reports its silhouette and the host installs it as the input region.
Claiming the GL context for preserveDrawingBuffer must happen after the
canvas is sized — before it, the context is born 300x150 and she renders as a
thumbnail in the corner.
Console and errors are forwarded to the host's stdout. Without that a rig
that fails to draw is silent in every direction, which is what cost this
the afternoon.
It is not a git repo, it gets edited on the device, and this path had no
snapshot while the local compose path has had one all along. Now it snapshots
to ~/souveraine-surfaces/.quickshell-previous, copies by checksum, and only
reports phone-only files instead of destroying them.
The hand-written allowlist in AndroidQuickPanel had drifted from it, so the
phone rendered 12 of its 17 configured toggles and said nothing about the rest.
Adds the missing fullScreenshot and waydroidTerminate, and a deploy guard so
the phone chooser can't fall behind the base one again.
The ticker instantiation in AiChat referenced qs.modules.souveraine.
subconscious, but those files were absent from the deploy MANIFEST, so a
deploy left the import unresolved. Add SubconsciousTicker/EventPanel +
a qmldir mirroring the dial/selection modules.
Overlay layer following DialHost, keyboardFocus None throughout, and an input
mask limited to the card so taps elsewhere reach the app underneath. Anchors to
the pointer hint above the touch point, clamped on screen.
Chip shows a character count, never a preview: the surface floats over the app
that owns the selection and the content may be a password, so it stays ambient
and discloses nothing. Read Aloud is live via Speech; agent and reference
actions render with the reason they cannot act yet.
Adds DeviceEvidence, reporting input to the state machine's existing
Request::Input with an intent label, so a new input surface is not another
isolated actor per DEVICE-STATE-MACHINE 1. Opt-in: nothing loads or watches
until Config.options.selection.enable.
The fullscreen overlay sat above squeekboard's layer and owned the whole
screen's input region, so taps in the keyboard area hit the dialog. It now
yields the bottom third while the OSK is up. Exclusive keyboard focus was
tried and reverted — it stopped the keyboard taking touch entirely.
UPower's ChargeType (fork, read off the charger) reaches the lock line as
fast/slow charging. Discharging with the cable in is the charger resting
between top-ups, not a drain — it now reads Charged/Plugged in.
SessiondBridge: handle pushed {"directive":"lock"} on the heartbeat line and
raise the lock surface. Unknown directives are console.error — a silent drop
leaves the daemon blanking unlocked when its budget expires.
SessiondPolicy: new singleton, reads/writes DeviceStatePolicy over its own
short-lived connection (not the bridge socket — that EOF is shell-death
detection).
IdleConfig: new "Lock screen (device authority)" section bound to it. SetPolicy
had zero callers, so the old spinboxes moved a JSON file the daemon never read.
Says so in the error colour when sessiond is unreachable.
New file needs a deploy.sh manifest line or the services qmldir fails whole.
Speech: prefetch() now sets synthProc._prefetch=true before voiceLookup
so the background synth doesn't auto-play. speak() skips voiceLookup
when the endpoint+voice are already resolved (faster repeat taps).
Ai: addMessage defaults model to Souveraine.currentAgentId so restored
messages (/resume, new conversations) show the agent icon/name instead
of a generic placeholder.
Session: create_with_messages_and_timestamps preserves persisted
created_at/updated_at through load_persisted so /resume sorts by
actual activity time, not server restart time.
TTS: ttsClean strips unclosed think blocks, fixes regex dotAll flag
for older Qt/V8 (phone), adds pronunciation map.
SubconsciousTicker: tap psychology icon to expand inline mini-log,
long-press to open the event panel overlay.
New: workspace-selector.sh + .desktop — wofi dmenu grid for quick
workspace 1-10 jump from the app drawer. Installed to phone via
deploy.sh symlink.
Adds a Download-random-wallpaper button and a 3-way content filter
(SFW/Sketchy/NSFW) to our Wallpaper settings page, backed by a new
WallpaperDownload service and its own download script under
surfaces/quickshell/scripts/wallpaper/ — not ii's scripts/colors tree,
which is going away. Only the 'wallpapers apply' IPC target still comes
from ii and moves with it when the base is vendored.
Downloads are named by wallhaven id so the library accumulates instead of
overwriting a single wallhaven_wallpaper.<ext>. Purity is read from and
written to background.wallhaven.purity in config.json (not in the upstream
Config.options schema). Anchors the root scripts/ gitignore to / so shipped
surface scripts are tracked.
Speech.qml singleton: speak(text) reads the who->voice mapping live
from souveraine /v1/config (VoiceConfig tts_url + voice_id), POSTs
VibeVoice /audio/speech ({input, voice, model} -> mp3, same contract
as core/voice/client.rs) and plays via mpv/ffplay. The shell picks no
voice of its own. speech.tts.enable is the kill switch (button hidden
when off); speech.tts.endpoint overrides the mapped URL. Sidebar gains
a volume_up/stop toggle beside send that reads the last visible
assistant reply, skipping lock-redacted content.
deploy.sh recomposes ~/.config/quickshell/souveraine with rm -rf each
run; the 19 new qmldir files were hand-placed on the phone and would
be wiped on next deploy. Add them to the manifest.
speech.stt/speech.tts land in Config so the settings page, the
souveraine-stt CLI, and the keyboard mic key all read one source of
truth. STT defaults to the VPN faster-whisper bridge; the page probes
/health so configured and answering are visibly different states. TTS
is a field waiting for a server.
The C splash now plays only Acts I-III and hands off at ~6.8s; a new
BootBloom layershell overlay (modules/souveraine/boot) resumes Acts IV-V
(Souvie + bloom flower) over the live compositor, clock-aligned to the boot
epoch so the animation is continuous across the process swap. It maps as
Hyprland's first surface (top-level in ShellRoot, before Config.ready),
pokes splash-signal on its first frame to release the GPU, and LockScreen
clears bootBloomActive on secure to fade it out and reveal the lock. Bloom
shader is qsb-compiled from BootBloom.frag at deploy time.
Drop services/Audio.qml from the manifest: it was a pactl mirror written
for native PulseAudio and only tracked the default sink/source. The phone
runs PipeWire now, so ii's native Pipewire Audio service (full graph,
WirePlumber-owned volume) takes over.
Wallpaper grid in the settings app applying through the shell's
wallpapers IPC. Lock pad now tracks the finger during the swipe and
settles on release instead of snapping at a threshold.
Redacted messages stayed '[content hidden until unlock]' forever — nothing
restored them on unlock. Redaction now records the message and unlock
restores content from rawContent. Turns finishing while locked are also
redacted and surfaced. New LockAgentCard shows a one-line preview of
replies that landed during the lock window on the lock glance, like a
notification; body stays hidden until unlock.
sessiond auth: getpwuid_r buffer is u8 with a c_char cast so it compiles
on aarch64 (c_char = u8 there) and x86 (c_char = i8).
ext-session-lock client that locks at session start, hands the lock to the
shell over a runtime socket without an unlocked instant (abandon + restore),
and retakes it the moment the shell heartbeat drops. Spartan PIN fallback
surface, PAM via hand-rolled libpam FFI, machined-style sync server.
Shell side: SessiondBridge singleton + LockScreen initIfReady routes the
startup lock decision through the handshake.
SessionAudit.qml — tamper-evident JSONL log of all session state changes:
- Lock/unlock, secure/insecure transitions
- Idle state machine transitions (active/dimmed/lock/sleep/wake)
- PrepareForSleep, external lock signals, inhibitor lifecycle
- Step-up auth success/failure, break-glass issued/consumed/expired
- Grant expiry and revocation
Hash chain: each entry includes md5 of previous entry. Sequence numbers
detect gaps. Chain is validated on startup from the last entry.
Uses Qt.md5() (not SHA256 — not available in QML). Advisory tamper-
evidence, not cryptographic security. Log at:
~/.local/share/souveraine/session-audit.jsonl
Phase 1 of the SouveraineOS homogenization — the three highest-priority
gaps from the session trust architecture:
New files:
- services/SessionEvents.qml — logind event ingress (PrepareForSleep,
session Lock signal) via gdbus monitor; delay-mode sleep inhibitor
held from startup, released only after WlSessionLock.secure
- services/StepUpAuth.qml — step-up PAM authentication with short-lived
in-memory grants per action family; revokes on lock/timeout/failure
- TRUST-BOUNDARY-MATRIX.md — every session operation classified by
caller type, auth gate, and enforcement status
Modified:
- IdleCoordinator: extended with Suspending/Asleep/Waking states for
the sleep lifecycle; wires to SessionEvents when present
- Session.qml: added sleep inhibitor kind, stepUp/sleepInhibitor
state in IPC projection, boot-time IPC audit log
- Config.qml: added lock.stepUp config section (enabled, grantTtlMs)
- LockConfig.qml: added step-up authentication settings section
- deploy.sh: added SessionEvents and StepUpAuth to manifest
- SESSION-TRUST-ARCHITECTURE.md: marked phase 1 items as done
- REFERENCE-EXTRACTION.md: marked build order items as done
